The standards this site is written to

This site is patient education published by Chongqing West District Hospital. It is written to the hospital's content standards and to the advertising rules governing medical content, which is why it reads differently from a commercial clinic site.

What this site does not do

It names no drug brand and no device brand, and refers to pigment lasers only by technology class. It quotes no dosage, no wavelength and no price, and publishes no before-and-after gallery used as a promise. It makes no claim that a particular result can be achieved, and it states the risks that should change a plan rather than listing them as a formality.

What it says instead

That a Q-switched course is several sessions rather than one, that the nanosecond-scale pulse depends on the pigment absorbing the light so results vary between people, that clearance is incremental and fades, and that darkening, lightening and melasma-type pigment are the risks most likely to change the decision.

Corrections

If you believe something on this site is inaccurate, raise it through the hospital administration contact. Corrections affecting clinical meaning are reviewed by the responsible physician before publication.
